Mother’s Day Weekend

May 12th, 2008 by Linda

We spent the night at our relative’s house (my sister-in-law makes the best lasagna!) and then the next day was Mother’s Day so we celebrated by going out to El Toritos for their champagne brunch…it was lots of fun! Then in the evening our friend Chris made one of her usual gourmet dinners for a group of friends and that was also very relaxing, so from start to finish it was a memorable Mother’s Day for me being able to relax with my family and friends. And a weekend of eating too! The Lord certainly spoils me in every way.

Puppy Love

We finally got a dog! — An adorable German shepherd puppy who the kids named Kiona. She reminds me of Wesley, not so tame yet, full of energy, learning not to bite, all over the place getting into trouble, but they’re both the perfect little additions to our lives.

42 Minutes

April 30th, 2008 by Steven

That’s how long it takes me to limp/jog what I was able to run in 30 minutes prior to ACL reconstructive surgery about 8 months ago. Not only that but it’s more painful now.

So my goal is to is to get back to doing the trail in 30 minutes. But for starters I’d be happy to be able to keep up 10 minute mile without pain, that’s up from 11.70 minute miles today. I’m thankful that I can run at all and that my knee is structurally sound now.
